Gazelle Warranty Life

PROBLEM: Gazelle sells certified pre-owned phones. Because it’s pre-owned customers are hesitant to buy used refurbished devices. Gazelle has partnered with Warranty Life insurance for devices sold on their direct store. As a result, the inclusion of a Warranty Life option is now required during the checkout process.
GOAL: Implementing a new Warranty Life option feature for a seamless checkout

I developed a user flow that allows customers to easily select the Warranty Life option during checkout. The objective of my designs was to enhance the overall user experience. After discussing and brainstorming with the team, I initially designed a pop-up interface. We conducted user tests and discovered that the pop-up was easily closed, resulting in a higher user-drop off rate. We redesign the interface as a slide-out instead. After 1-Year Plan option was finished, the business requested the addition of a 2-year Plan option. The engineering team is in process of implementing the necessary code to make this feature live.
